Job Description: Become familiar with company systems and operating processes and input sales transactions into the company systems.
Understand the basic bunker purchasing process and terms commonly used and assist in pre-sale and pre/post-delivery information gathering and follow-up.
Become familiar with the key people, including customers, suppliers, transport companies, port authorities, surveyors, etc. and become a reliable point of contact for customer requests and transactions.
Conduct market researches and prospect for new business. Develop and maintain a portfolio of customers and/or suppliers.

BACKGROUND AND SKILLS:
· A Bachelors Degree or Diploma (ideally shipping related)

· Knowledge of and experience working in the marine, oil or shipping industry would be preferred.

· Basic financial derivative instruments knowledge preferred

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills. At ease working in a multicultural environment and ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels in the organization

· Exceptional organizational skills – must be task-oriented and be able to work with tight deadlines and multiple details

· Complete fluency in English; proficiency in other languages is a plus

· Ability to work after office hours and/or weekends as required
