Tum Create Ltd – Research Assistant

TUM CREATE innovates. We are developing cutting-edge electric vehicle technologies and pioneering future transportation concepts for meeting the growing transport and sustainability challenges in fast-growing tropical megacities. Germany’s Technische Universität München (TUM) and Singapore’s Nanyang Technological University (NTU) — two world-leading engineering universities — have come together to collaborate on this ambitious joint research programme. It is funded by Singapore’s National Research Foundation.

The intern will be assisting the team in mechanical design of components for the electric 3-wheeler and later implementing these solutions in a fully-functional prototype. The scope of work includes extensive hands on work to construct and assemble the fully-functional prototype as the end result. The prototype will later be tested with users to gather feedback for further improvements. The tasks are:

§   Refine, design and implement mechanical components.

§   Research, select and procure parts.

§   Work closely in a team with supervisor.

§   Input new ideas on how to improve the product.

§   Extensive hands-on-work for implementing a fully functional prototype.

§   Documentation of work for future traceability.
