Job Description
Do you want to be a media or tech entrepreneur? This is your chance to learn everything about running a business. 

Reporting directly to the CEO, the successful candidate will have outstanding communications skills, a positive ‘can-do’ attitude, passion about entrepreneurship and a willingness to accept ownership for a diverse range of duties, including but not limited to:

1. Community Communications/Marketing  – Implement the strategic marketing/communications plans.

- Content creation - write blog posts, articles, newsletters, communications materials, and material for social media channels for corporate use and for Female Founders Non Profit Organization .

- Social media marketing – create, manage and grow the company’s and CEOs presence through blogs, Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin, weekly mailer and website.

- Update website, assist in pitch and research presentations, maintain document database and files. 

2. Administrative Tasks– complete a broad variety of administrative tasks including: managing a CEOs extremely active calendar of appointments; arranging complex and detailed travel plans, itineraries, and agendas; and compiling documents for travel-related meetings. Provide a bridge for smooth communication between the CEO’s office and other departments across all regional offices.

3. Event planning – Plan up to 2-3 drinks and networking events per month and handle all logistical and marketing details with those events. 

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, journalism or related field
Proven ability to write marketing materials including web content (provide samples)
Exceptional Microsoft Office skills – Word, PowerPoint, Excel
Willingness to follow detailed directions on certain projects balanced with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision on other projects
Flexible work hours required as some weekend and evening events.  This is not a 9 to 5 job.

Desired experience:

Email marketing tools such as MailChimp
Content management tools such as WordPress 
Past work/internship for a fast-paced startup
