Job Description

Are you a digital native? Do you want to gain experience with the world’s most innovative hotel brands like W, Westin, Aloft, Four Points or St. Regis? Do you want to be involved in cutting-edge, digital marketing?

Join us on a 6 month internship & work closely with our passionate digital team in the most innovative, luxury hotel group in the world!  This is an Asia-Pacific role that will support the divisional digital team on digital marketing projects & while honing your skills on content creation and social-analytics on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, WeChat and other rising digital social and mobile platforms! 

Marketing initiatives managed by this role include:

  • Digital marketing campaigns for Asia Pacific – mobile apps, branded sites, search, social media, display, email etc.

  • Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

  • Video curator for Asia Pacific hotels

  • New Hotels digital marketing launches

  • Online Travel Agencies (OTA) marketing campaigns

  • Digital performance reporting

40% - Digital Marketing and Website Content Management / Site Maintenance

  • Support the needs of regional teams and agencies to implement digital marketing tactics for hotels in Asia Pacific

  • Coordinate efforts in property website localization and expansion

  • Assist in building landing pages for divisional campaigns

  • Curate videos for all Asia Pacific property webpages

  • Update strategies on key digital platforms and share best practices to deliver increased presence and incremental revenue to hotels

20% - Social Media

  • Leverage on social media tools to ensure hotels have a strong presence on social networks and maximize opportunities in new platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, WeChat, Line, Tripadvisor, Youtube, etc).

  • Monitor buzz for Starwood brands and set up policies for all properties and brands under the Starwood umbrella.

  • Report on social media performance

20% - Third Party Site / Online Travel Agency (OTA) Account Management

  • Assist in launching OTA marketing campaigns for new hotels

  • Generate monthly reports from third party partners
20% - Tracking, Analysis and Planning

  • Share monthly insights on production, trends, booking and stay patterns as well as channel analysis

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Digital native and fast-learner

  • Innovative, start-up spirit

  • Takes initiative, anticipates needs, very pro-active

  • Organized, detail-oriented and deadline-sensitive

  • Excellent communication skills; Demonstrates poise, tact and diplomacy

  • Experience managing external agencies (e.g. media, creative, social and technology partners etc.)

  • Keen understanding of the digital environment

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (namely Excel and Powerpoint, Photoshop would be an added advantage
  • Students pursuing Bachelor/ Masters in Marketing, Advertising and/ or Communication (other fields in technology or computer science can be considered but must have a keen interest in digital marketing)
