RouterCo is looking to re-invent home connectivity.
The world has been rocked by scandal after scandal involving security loopholes, hackers, government spying and other internet privacy. If you think that world is scary, think about the world where we have everything connected to the internet, from our doors and windows to our cars, from our children to our refrigerators. All using the same crummy security.
Meanwhile the security tools that we have (VPN, Tor, etc.) remain niche and hard to configure.
RouterCo is looking to creating the future proof router for our home.
Job Description
Want to hack together a a future proof router?
Push the limits of what can be done with seemingly ordinary off-the-shelve components?
Bring a new level of user experience so that everyone can feel secure without having to be a tech expert?
Then you should be on ground zero with us.
With your skills in:
- Embedded systems (e.g. RaspPi, Arduino, linux-based microPCs)
- Setting up linux based systems (Ubuntu with a simple web server)
- Simple coding (e.g. javascript, php)
- Knowledge of the IP suite of protocols and how they are used to route data
- Finding and putting together off-the-shelve components
And your can-do attitude in learning about:
- VPN
- Anonymizers
- Z Wave / Zigbee
- Blue tooth
