Company Profile: Twenty years' experience as a professional oil trader. Found a huge, unexploited seam of data for improving oil network analysis. The prototypes are promising; now it's time to weaponize it.
You'll work on a serious, real-life Data Wrangling problem, not a toy example. This is bleeding-edge oil trading analysis, the stuff the most aggressive hedge funds and major traders are serious about
This is a sweet-spot opportunity for an intern or fresh-grad. Combine our domain-knowledge of Oil with your time and Data Wrangling skills and we literally create a resource that doesn't exist today. This has the potential to grow far beyond an internship. I have started other successful companies and have no need for external funding.
Job Description: Turn a raw data set into a well-curated time-series network that we can build exploitable stories from.
This will be an intensive effort to turn a raw data set into a well-understood, well-visualized model. Work could take anywhere between one and three months depending on circumstances and candidate. If candidate can produce high quality work, this can turn into a full-time opportunity to help build a new business in the style of a Lean Startup.
You'll need to be mature with a proven ability to see through projects.
Also please be competent with SQL and Python. We'll use Tableau for Data Visualization, so please be familiar with it.
