Come on board as a commis chef. We’re looking for an individual
who is inspired to bring his/her culinary skills and talent to greater
heights, a creative soul who experiments with different ingredients and
cooking techniques. Our current joint, Mr Punch Public House, has to it
an element of sophisticated nostalgia. The gastropub currently serves
a sharing dinner menu and holds a seating capacity of 35 pax. Despite
its drink-centric approach, food remains a vital element, one that
should enhance, if not complement, the drinking experience. At the
very heart of it, Mr Punch Public House believes in serving a simple menu that
promises good-quality dishes.
As a Commis Chef, you are responsible for the daily food preparation and duties assigned to meet the set standard and qualities, including:
• Supporting the Chef de Partie in the daily operation and work
• Work according to the menu specifications by the Chef de Partie
• Prepare the daily mis-en-place and food production
• Follow the instructions and recommendations from the immediate Superiors to complete the daily tasks
• Ensure the highest standards and consistent quality in the daily preparation and keep up to date with the new products, recipes and preparation techniques
•Coordinate and participate with other sections of requirements, cleanliness, wastage and cost control
