The Role
 
Reporting to the Head of Consumer Electronics, the Consumer Electronics Analyst will be required to update existing and develop new sections of datasets and reports for the Consumer Electronics industry. 
 
The role includes conducting primary and secondary research, through an independent build of extensive research contacts to generate data trend analysis for the annual update of Passport: Consumer Electronics database across 46 markets. The Consumer Electronics Analyst will also generate weekly opinionated yet informed short piece commentary on Passport as well as develop strategic global reports on product trends and company strategies.
 
The Consumer Electronics Analyst will also represent Euromonitor International at prestigious international and regional industry and press events, along with supporting our global sales teams and acting as a client contact, where necessary.

Qualifications
Job Requirements
 
To succeed in this role, you are an individual with:
  • Passion for and strong strategic knowledge of the global Consumer Electronics industry;
  • Minimum one year’s research track record, with proven skills in secondary research, trade interviewing via tapping on previous established contacts and cold calling, data analysis or minimum one year experience within related industry; 
  • Superb numeracy and analytical skills;
  • Initiative and thirst to engage in informed verbal and written exchanges;
  • Flexibility to take on work hours over different time zones and effectively communicate with counterparts cross offices;
  • Ability to prioritise and multi-task effectively towards stipulated goals, and to work with short/tight deadlines;
  • Oral and written fluency in English;
  • Additional languages an advantage; 
  • Public speaking confidence and excellent presentation skills;
  • Computer literacy to a high level in MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint.
