Digitales Pte is a Singapore/ UK company which operates live events plus a web application – starcount – together with a large database of celebrities and brands on social media.
We are now seeking a number of Singapore based Research Editors to edit the people/ brands and social media accounts that we store and track in our database. The role is essentially an online research and data entry role – checking for certain public figures, brands and media on social networks, and ensuring they are categorised correctly in our data store, along with their official social media accounts. You will be given an online web interface in which to enter and check data.

The roles are based in our offices located near Chinatown, on a full time basis. They are starting immediately and would be on an initial two month contract, but likely to be extended.
Key responsibilities:

Working to our Project Manager, you will need to:
• Verify the accuracy of existing data within our data store, working through records in a systematic way.
• Correct, delete or add to data to improve its accuracy and usefulness.
• Add new records both for new social media accounts, and for new categories of celebrities or brands for which we wish to track data.
• Use social networks and the internet extensively to conduct the research, to identify/ verify official social network accounts for people or brand s and to correctly categorise them.
• Help identify technical issues or bugs around our data or application and report them to our technical team, and to test and verify any technical fixes or new features that are deployed.
• Any other data editing, testing or research tasks as identified by our Project Manager.
• Conduct research within our data to support articles and other editorial content about social media/ celebrity trends.
• Occasionally write articles or produce editorial content yourself – although the main part of the role is research / data entry.

Key requirements:
• Fluent in written/ spoken English and Mandarin
• Very familiar with social media. Use social networks extensively.
• Use the internet extensively. Ideally some online research experience.
• Fast keyboard skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Conscientious and thoughtful.
• Hard working and motivated.
• Trustworthy and responsible.
• Ideally some interest in social media/ technology/ celebrity trends etc.
• Currently living in Singapore - either a citizen, permanent resident or with an existing employment pass.
• Other major languages (eg Spanish, Russian, Portuguese, Arabic, Japanese) are desirable but by no means essential.
