Job Description
Main Duties and Responsibilites
1. Prepares a wide variety of food, with diverse methods of preparation and adheres to specific product preparation and handling procedures and plate presentation.
2. Adheres to all company safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
3. Prepares food in accordance to Chili's Grill and Bar specifications and maintains a high quality and consistent product.
4. Maintains cleanliness throughout the kitchen. Cleans and sanitizes throughout the shift.
5. Keeps prepared food continuously flowing smoothly out of the kitchen.
6. Communicates ticket time and potential problems with the QA, manager and servers as necessary.
7. Ensures proper rotation of all products and stocks product according to par.
8. Breaks down, and cleans station or work area at the end of shift.
9. Maintains Chilihead spirit at all times.
10. Leads by example in everything that they do.
11. Coaches new and existing team members in all Chilis practices.
12. Responsible for daily pull thaw and storage optimization.
13. Completes a pre line check, before the manger scheduled one.
14. Ensures that all utensils are returned to their zones on a shiftly basis.
15. Ensures the daily cleaning schedules are complete
Experience and Qualifications
Certificate in Culinary Arts/Management
Able to understand and speak English
Competencies / Skills Set
Must perform all cook duties scoring a 4 on their annual appraisal
Must be a certified trainer
Must have passed all stations and line tests scoring 95%
Must be a true chilihead, have a positive spirit
Must have completed QA training
