Have you been designing user interfaces for awhile now? Skilled as you are, there are always new things to be learnt. User interface and user experience designers often have different priorities. If you have always been curious about user experience, this is a golden opportunity to learn about the other side of the coin! 360UniView, as a startup venture, is looking for a creative and dynamic individual to be its User Interface Designer ("UID") to translate great ideas into compelling design solutions for the company's products quickly.
The role is a challenging one and the UID is expected to be forward thinking in his/her approach towards design solutions so as to balance user expectations, business goals and technical constraints. He/She will be involved in every aspect of the product development process and to pro-actively seek to create attractive, intuitive and highly functional interface design to maximise user experience. The UID will be required to work closely with developers and UX designer(s) for this purpose. The role involves hands-on expertise and leadership in the development of the user interface for the company's various projects from concept to production.
Your Task
Work with the business and design team to develop innovative user interaction concepts across multiple browsers, platforms, web and mobile devices
Ideate and conceptualise design solutions by sketching and crafting wire frames, storyboards, user flows, process flows
Design engaging, inspiring and clean user interfaces for web sites, web apps and mobile apps, helped by keeping up to date with the latest front-end development knowledge, UI trends, techniques and technology
Design and execute usability testing plans to inform design choices, and build clickable prototypes to demonstrate UI flow and mocks
Conductdesign research and customer analysis as well as develop user guides
Requirements
Technical Requirements
3-5 years of professional UI design experience for software, web applications, and mobile devices. (Experience designing mobile apps and interactive media on web, iOS and Android is an advantage)
Good understanding of the latest web and mobile technologies and capabilities, UI trends, techniques and technology
Demonstrated knowledge of UI principles for iOS, Android and web
Strong conceptualisation ability, visual communication ability, drawing skills and sketch book technique, with an excellent understanding of UI design, including colours, typography, layout etc.
Advanced knowledge of HTML, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, Adobe Dreamweaver, Photoshop and illustrator and/or other graphic design and prototyping tools
Ability to translate understanding of personas, user behaviours and patterns into actionable design deliverables, and a comprehensive understanding of human interaction with digital media
Soft skills
Excellent analytic and communication skills (both verbal and written)
Passion for merging aesthetics and functionality in UI design concepts
Highly meticulous in attention to design details and able to articulate and present creative ideas
A self-starter who is motivated and able to work well with little guidance
Able to fit well in an informal start-up environment
Discipline in planning, execution and follow up of projects to achieve desired results
