Sales Planning Intern, Yahoo! Search Marketing

Job Description:

The Sales Planning Intern, for SEA is responsible for supporting the Sales Planning function in the Yahoo! Search Marketing business unit. You will work closely with the team in acquiring and retaining the advertisers by executing sales initiatives and programs.

This is an excellent opportunity to develop knowledge of broader marketing and advertising trends and frameworks in an Internet industry. You will be able to be involved in projects with cross functional teams on delivering Yahoo! Search Marketing’s overall revenue goals.

Primary objectives of this role:

• Works closely with sales teams and provides departmental support across sales channels in trade events and educational workshops, whenever applicable.

• Prepares sales materials such as event calendar for up-selling and optimisation opportunities.

• Maintains and manages Yahoo! Search Marketing warm leads capture page for new advertiser acquisition

• Assists in the preparation of monthly market search competitor data such as Comscore

• Makes and processes purchase requisitions and expense claims

• Assists in the preparation of advertiser premiums upon receiving business requests across all sales channels and keep track of inventory in hand.

• Website creation and management

• Performs special ad-hoc projects as assigned.

Requirements:

 Keen interest for marketing and the Internet.

 Basic skill in HTML and Photoshop is a must.

 Strong PC skills are essential including Microsoft Office and the Internet.

 Excellent communications skills, verbal and written.

 Willing to learn and be a quick learner with the ability to multi-task

 High degree of attention to details.
