1) COMPANY PROFILE

Wowcart Pte Ltd is a start-up company offering single-point e-commerce solutions for the small to medium sized business on all internet publishing mediums: blogs, social media, and web sites. Wowcart, the flagship product, is a freemium, cloud-based, best –of-breed shopping cart with easy publishing plug-ins for all major social media networks, including China’s top five social media.

The founding team of Wowcart Pte Ltd have a combined total of over 50 years’ experience in IT channel and direct sales, overseas market development, social media, mergers & acquisitions and management.

2) Basic Job Description:

Working Hours:

Approximately 2-3 days (16-24 hours a week), subject to project demands and Supervisor preference. Work will be conducted at the office, although some projects may be completed remotely according to the Supervisor’s project framework and approval.

Term:

Open, minimum 3 months preferred.

Salary:

- $10/hour inclusive of CPF

- Approximately 15 hours a week. Additional hours will be assigned according to capability and available assignments.

Assignments are given in the following areas:

A. App Testing

- Design and execute application tests (inclusive of reports), in tandem with the team

- Online documentation

B. Web Projects

- update the corporate web site

- social media account management

- SEO

- blog posts and management

- competitor analysis and mystery shopping

- other general internet research reports (apps, systems)

3) Requirements and Skillsets

You must be comfortable surfing the net, and learning how to use new Internet applications. You must be social media savvy, creative and be able to communicate fluently in English. Familiarity with Chinese Internet media would be a big plus.

Students are welcome, but professional work ethics are expected. You must have your own laptop. Wireless/broadband internet will be provided.

In-person interviews will be conducted.

Skillsets:

- Very good English writing and speaking skills

- A good sense of detail and ability to properly follow instructions

- Fluency in written Mandarin and Chinese social media sites would be a plus.

- Very good understanding of major social media platforms (Facebook, Google+, Twitter)

- Experience with major blog platforms (Tumblr, Blogger, WordPress)

- Ability to research and compile information on various items (how-tos, feature/platform comparisons)

- Familiarity with Google Drive, Word, Excel, Email, and major Internet applications
