1) COMPANY PROFILE

Wowcart Pte Ltd is a dynamic start-up company offering single-point e-commerce solutions for businesses to publish their shopping cart on all internet mediums: blogs, mobile, social media networks, and web sites.

Wowcart, the flagship product, is a freemium, cloud-based, best–of-breed shopping cart with easy publishing plug-ins for all major social media networks, including China’s top social media networks Weibo, Tencent and QQ.

The founding team of Wowcart Pte Ltd have a combined total of over 50 years of experience in IT channel and direct sales, overseas market development, social media, mergers & acquisitions and management. Wowcart Pte Ltd will be expanding dynamically throughout the Asia-Pacific region in 2013 and 2014.

2) JOB SCOPE

Position: Web Developer

Salary: $10/hour

Working Hours: 2 days per week

Term: Minimum 2 months

- This is not a full-time position

- Only Permanent Residents and Singaporeans should apply

Basic Job Description:

We are looking for a self-motivated, goal-driven individual to work at the following:

• Updating corporate web sites

• Integrating/ maintaining web sites with Google Analytics, Facebook App, various third-party applications/networks

• Front-end technologies: WordPress.com, mailchimp, other web apps of similar nature.

• Maintaining SEO & SEM protocols and documentation

• Basic application development (see platforms below)

• Blackbox testing and bug report coordination with Engineering team

• Some mail server and server administration

3) SKILLSETS

You must have your own laptop and own software licenses. Wireless/broadband internet will be provided.

Skillsets:

- Minimum B grade for A-level General Paper, or equivalent

- HTML + CSS, JAVASCRIPT, AJAX

- Working knowledge of SEO and SEM, Facebook Apps

- Familiarity with Photoshop

- Knowledge of responsive design concepts

- Knowledge of JSON, REST

- Working knowledge of Chinese and Chinese social networks is a plus.

Requirements:

Applicants with a working portfolio, software testing background or relevant programming & systems working experience will be considered high priority

- Should have some prior experience in SEO/SEM fields

- Some basic Windows & UNIX administration experience considered a plus

- Ability to keep deadlines

- Must be self-motivated, resourceful, and be able to work independently
