Job Description
VRL Financial News is a multinational publishing house that publishes research and analysis for the global financial services industry. We deliver industry intelligence through publications and events held in Europe and Asia Pacific.
We are currently looking for editorial interns to support our expanding regional office in Singapore.
Job Description
The primary role is to support the editorial team in the collection and production of content (written or in data form) for our regional publication Banking & Payments Asia. Tasks will involve the monitoring of daily news on retail banking, payments and wealth management in Asia Pacific, the writing of news briefs on the latest developments in the industry, and data collection from primary and secondary sources, such as executive interviews, research reports, financial reports, and financial databases.
Interns will get exposure to editorial writing, learn how to work with editorial content management systems and be involved in the production process of a monthly publication.
Desired skills
Successful candidates should:
• Demonstrate excellent writing skills in English
• Be web-savvy and resourceful in terms of research
• Have some financial knowledge and have a genuine interest in financial services.
• Be deadline-driven, detail-oriented and a team player
• Be working toward a university degree, preferably in journalism and finance
• We are looking for students that are able to commit to work 2 to 3 days per week over a longer period of time accompanying their studies, or interns who can join us on a full-time basis for at least four months.
