Job Description
Airport system geolocation server
Airports need to be able to keep track of the precise location of a large number of equipment, vehicles, aircrafts, staff, etc, coming from many sources such as mobile fleet management systems, ground radars, ADS-B radio broadcasts from aircrafts, crowd-sourced feeds from e.g. flightradar24.com...
The purpose of this project is to develop a fast and scalable solution to manage this large volume of real-time data with efficient visualization and search/lookup features, for instance via the use of generic web-based mapping frameworks like OpenLayers and No-SQL geolocation-friendly databases like MongoDB. A versatile connector system is also needed in order to support the diversity of message formats to process (e.g. ASTERIX for radar feeds).
