We do invest money but on top of the money we are specialised in 6 areas: 1. Bringing in Customers and Partners 2. Internationalise the company 3. Recruiting in general and especially of sales and engineers. 4. Promote the investments 5. Help refinance the company with introductions of traditional VC, Loans and Private Equity Firms 6. Help acquiring companies as well as exiting the company.
We have strong (over 600) connections with leading industry players in Fintech, VCs, Banks, Insurance firms, eCommerce/ Media firms with a Fintech angle or other Financial institutions. Coupled with our global outreach throughout our 9 cities in 3 continents, this makes us an extremely powerful vehicle that helps scale B2B Fintech firms.
Running Business Development for TGV is no walk in the park. You should be able to move fast, think on your feet, be proactive and not be afraid to break things.
Your broad job responsibilities include maintaining the corporate identity of the firm, helping to source and validate potential deal flow, helping our portfolio companies in the 6 areas mentioned above, running events/roadshows and taking charge of the tracking/analytics database we keep.
To be more specific, here are some areas you will be partially or wholly responsible for in the coming months:
- Disruption in Banking event in New York, September 9
There will be travel opportunities and you will have the chance to travel to the Big Apple (all expenses paid) with TGV. Get the chance to interact and network with C level executives (this event is a private function) from Wall Street firms as well as promising fintech startups in the States!
You will control the event turnout, logistics and execution of this event on the day itself/
- Disruption in Banking event in Stockholm, November 1 and 2
One of our most significant events where we are building a fintech bridge between Singapore - Stockholm through participation of local regulatories as well as an international startup PITCH competition sourcing startups from across the globe. We have finalised speakers from key Nordic banks such as Danskebank, Swedbank, and Nordea as well as startups Milvik and iZettle. You will get to travel to Stockholm as well on the basis of helping out with the turnout and execution of this event.
- Singapore Fintech Festival, November
Get the chance to network and interact with key players on the fintech front as well as the most forward thinking banks/insurance firms/ financial institutions with an alias with TGV.
Your other job responsibilities include:
- Deal sourcing and deal validation and helping out with the due diligence process
- Keeping track of all introductions, leads and statuses as well as maintaining the corporate identity of TGV through our various channels.
- Being accountable/responsible for your own project assignments. TGV doesn't micro-manage!
