Job Description
I am a techy founder with past business experience currently looking to build a solid co-founder team to join me on this startup.
The exact roles are to be determined but together we need to have all essential skills covered. As we are a start-up, we are currently seeking dedicated individuals who have what it takes to push this business further.
The following areas are roles in which we have vacancies in: Business Development, Sales, Marketing, Design, UI/UX.
You will very much have the opportunity to lead these areas in the company and will have the freedom to explore your business ideas. We value your creativity and expertise and would love to have your insights as part of this company's growth.
This startup has ambitious goals to take on some multi-billion dollar established but outdated businesses and shake up the industry to become a market leader in the modern world.
Our focus will be on facilitating online bookings - beginning with transport of all kinds. Beyond that, we hope to eventually expand our business model to include that of new verticals.
Depending on the role that you're interested in, the roles will differ. The following is a rough description the tasks that you will cover.
Sales
Listening to customer requirements and presenting appropriately to make a sale
Maintaining and developing relationships with existing customers in person and via telephone calls and emails
Acting as a contact between a company and its existing and potential markets
Negotiating the terms of an agreement and closing sales
Gathering market and customer information
Representing their company at trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations;
Negotiating on price, costs, delivery and specifications with buyers and managers
Business Development
Formulate an overall strategic plan as to how to expand the business
Handle operational related matters
Identify opportunities and trends in the sector, to propose potential business ideas
Develops negotiating strategies and positions by studying integration of new venture with company strategies and operations; examining risks and potentials; estimating partners' needs and goals
Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations.
Marketing/Design
Come up with a target audience and carry out market research in order to better understand the segment
Make use of the marketing research to formulate a marketing strategy
Handle the design of the website, the social media and related media
Design and manage the production of various artwork such as newsletter, event poster, banner, powerpoint slides, website, etc
Manage business strategies for local customers in order to meet sales budgets and targets
Requirements
Degree in the related field would be preferred
An individual with passion for start ups
Creativity
Optimistic attitude towards work and a team player
