This is a three-month internship, starting in January 2011, with the Economist Intelligence Unit’s rapidly growing Custom Research practice.

The successful candidate will gain practical experience of supporting, multi-disciplinary research projects across sectors and countries for the Economist Intelligence Unit’s multilateral agency and government clients across Asia.

The intern will help the associate directors/project managers/senior analysts by conducting primary and secondary research on a variety of topics and countries. The intern will also help the team to execute and deliver research programmes and help with data management and information gathering to support administrative and business goals.

The ideal candidate

- Must have, or be studying for, a graduate degree in economics/econometrics/business administration, social sciences or management

- Must have work experience in research and consulting preferred

- Must have good writing and communication skills

- Must be highly numerate and experienced in data collection and analysis

- Must have an eye for detail and intellectual curiosity

Salary: US$1,000 per month
