Tate & Tonic – Junior Software Engineer

THE ROLE

You will work together with our Chief Technology Officer to build new tools and algorithms to help us scale our fast growing business. We are looking for a truly passionate, highly motivated smart fresh graduate who is excited in pioneering a new model of retail with Technology at its core. 

This is a long term position and only candidates who are planning to grow within the company should consider applying.

Both internship and permanent full-time position available. 

EXAMPLES OF PROJECTS YOU COULD BE WORKING ON

• Building advanced tools to help our Stylists style our customer more efficiently
• Refining our custom inventory system based on the unique needs of our business 
• Integrating new sections to our web interface to improve the overall customer experience
• Improving our statistical models and predictive styling algorithms
  

WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO 

• Has already good knowledge of Python, SQLite db and the Django framework
• Is familiar with Javascript, HTML / CSS, git
• Has strong CS fundamentals 
• Possess broad knowledge of the "state of the art" in web development
• Is highly independent, thrive on autonomy, can figure out how to get things done without someone telling him what to do
• Is passionate about programming and can share personal side projects or open source contributions
• Has a positive attitude and likes to have fun...a lot!
