Job Description
COMPANY:
StreetDeal.sg is a daily deal website that advertises and sells local merchants offers at 50% to 90% discount. Offers range from Restaurants to Spas, Leisure and other local merchants. Following its launch in October 2010 in Singapore, StreetDeal.sg has seen a rapid growth and is now rolling out its international expansion in South East Asia and Europe. Marketing Executive will help Head of Marketing Asia to develop Social Media strategy so as to bring followers engagement and interactivity but also traffic and sales. Marketing Executive will also work on all relevant website/mobile platform optimisation so as to increase conversion rate.
MISSION:
StreetDeal leverages its Marketing strategy on 3 main lines : Customer Acquisition, Customer Relationship Management and e-commerce Platforms Performance (website, mobile app…). This Internship mission will focus on Social Media and E-commerce performance. Nevertheless, depending on new projects and intern’s efficiency and motivation, it might expand to any other Marketing channel or project : website conversion optimisation, mobile marketing, banners campaigns etc…
1. Social Media
Background information
To date StreetDeal has accounts/pages for each country on Facebook and Twitter. In the short term StreetDeal will strongly develop its presence on social media so has to drive more traffic and sales to our e-commerce website. Social Media must also play a significant role its customer retention and brand perception.
Objective
Increase visibility and business generation from Social Media supports : Facebook, Twitter, Blogs etc…
Key tasks
Benchmark competition and e-commerce industry
Create content/animations so as to manage/animate fans/followers community
Manage applications creation
Create mechanisms to bring business to transactional website
Monitor performance
Deliverables
Social Media communication plan
Animation and application concepts
Performance reporting
2. Website and mobile platform (mobile website and app) conversion optimisation
Background information
All marketing actions share as a common target traffic and sales generation on StreetDeal website and mobile platform. Providing our users with best ecommerce practices as for usability and purchase path is therefore crucial to convert incoming visits into sales and revenue.
Objective
Optimising StreetDeal website and mobile platform as for usability and functionalities so as to increase website conversion rate. Monitoring website performance.
