50% - Online Marketing and Website Content Management / Site Maintenance
• Load offers on the Special Offer Page(s) and Destination Site(s) for divisional campaigns
• Ensure brand consistency in all marketing copy, photography, communications and creative.
• Write/proof-read copy and creative for all promotional offers
• Liaise with global team and property teams on the property page expansion properties (PPE)
• Research and develop promotions/partnerships
• Support hotels on SOP system, respond to queries and escalate issues
• Keep hublets, Russian site and destination site content up to date and refreshed
• Audit, revise and manage the content of the property web page on all Starwood branded websites
20% - Online Third Party Account Management
• Audit, revise and manage the content of the property web page on all third party websites
• Execute tactical marketing plans through strategic third party channels
• Maintain ongoing communication with key OTA market managers
• Support Divisional Online Marketing team on monthly reporting from third party partners.
20% - Tracking, Analysis and Planning
• Develop promotional marketing plans and schedules for each project
• Analyze and optimize offers on Special Offer Pages and Destination Sites for all hotels
• Review travel sites and other related online channels to monitor news, customer reviews and press on hotel
10% - Social Media
• Manage and execute social media marketing campaigns
• Monitor buzz for Starwood brands
• Assist with Facebook fan page roll-out
JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job
- Knowledge of marketing, online marketing and/or hotel marketing strategies required;
- Strong communication skills
- Knowledge and keen interest in general consumer online trends
- Comfortable with using online content management and other online tools
- Intellectual and analytical curiosity – initiative to dig into the “why” of various results.
- Advanced computer skills and detailed knowledge of various computer programs, including a strong proficiency of MS Excel and Powerpoint. Adobe Photoshop and rudimentary HTML is required.
Students pursuing Bachelor or Masters degrees in Marketing, Advertising and/or Communication.
EXPERIENCE
Internships or experience in marketing/advertising preferred.
