Founded in 1993, Singapore Repertory Theatre (SRT) is one of the leading English language theatre producers and presenters in Asia. In addition to its repertoire of original musicals like Forbidden City: Portrait of an Empress, the company has produced a number of critically acclaimed plays that include ART, The Pillowman and God of Carnage. SRT is also one of the biggest producers of children’s theatre in Southeast Asia with shows like Pinocchio, The Ugly Duckling and The Three Little Pigs. SRT was the first Singaporean theatre company on Broadway in 1998 as Associate Producer of Golden Child, which went from Singapore to New York and earned three Tony Award nominations. SRT presented the Royal Shakespeare Company’s King Lear and The Seagull starring Sir Ian McKellen in 2007. SRT was the a co-commissioning partner for all three years of The Bridge Project directed by Sam Mendes with The Winter’s Tale starring Ethan Hawke in 2009, The Tempest starring Stephen Dillane in 2010 and Richard III starring Kevin Spacey in 2011. Celebrating its 20th Anniversary in 2013, SRT, in collaboration with Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay, presented 3 Titans of Theatre – a season of works directed by Simon McBurney, Yukio Ninagawa and Peter Brook. SRT co-commissioned Peter Brook’s Battlefield in 2015.
The Digital Marketing Executive will be required to:
1. Develop and execute digital marketing strategies and approaches including:
• SEO/ SEM using the Google Ad Grants for non-profit organisations
• Digital initiatives for all SRT productions
• Recommendations for new media support and techniques to enhance online marketing • Creating video content for social media platforms
• Collaborations with the influencer community
2. Manage SRT’s social media marketing to strengthen brand visibility, awareness and engagement:
• Manage social media activities and profiles
• Promptly reply to comments and messages on social media platforms
• Work with other team members to develop creative content and deliverables
3. Contribute to the planning and execution of marketing operations:
• Research and collate production related content, current trends, competitors updates
• Writing news updates and advertorial and editorial for all online platforms
• Execute full marketing campaigns beyond digital marketing functions
• Handle all ad-hoc marketing functions as assigned
A successful candidate needs to:
• have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in digital marketing
• be fluent in written and spoken English
• be able to multitask
• work under time pressure
• pay attention to detail
• be highly IT literate
• be creative, driven, analytical, result driven and self-motivated
• have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• be able to use Adobe Photoshop and/ or Illustrator
• have some basic video filming and editing capability
Preference will be given to those with relevant experience.
Salary will be commensurate with experience.
