Singapore Furniture Industries Council (SFIC) was established in 1981 as the official representative body of Singapore’s furniture industry. It currently represents 95% of established furniture manufacturers in Singapore, of whom 65% have subsidiary manufacturing plants in the region including China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam. For the past 31 years, SFIC has always been in the forefront to pave the way for its members and help them adapt to changes in the business environment.

Job Description
  1. Engage respective government agencies and design industry associations for industry development to drive international market penetration
  2. Develop and administer programmes to groom young design talents and promote design to enterprises
  3. Engage design institutions and design firms in the furniture/design industry for various design initiatives organised
  4. Organise design-business related projects - exhibitions, competitions, workshops, forums/seminars, design study mission trips and networking sessions
  5. Facilitate cross-agency collaborations and work with stakeholders to ensure smooth and timely delivery of all projects assigned
  6. Coordination and execution of corporate events whenever required

 

Qualifications

Education: Degree or Diploma in Business, Marketing or 3D Design (Exhibition, Interior, Furniture and Product Design) preferred

Experience: 1-2 years in marketing and events management  

Knowledge & Skills:

  • A passion to drive and promote design
  • Experience in project coordination for exhibitions and events
  • Experience in preparing and managing budgets and reports
  • Ability to multi-task effectively with an attention to detail, whilst being able to see the big picture
  • Ability to handle pressure and perform under tight deadlines
  • Possesses initiative, is proactive with a mature disposition, and takes ownership of tasks assigned
  • Confident, at ease with interacting with stakeholders from all levels, writes and speaks well with good interpersonal skills
  • Must be a team player as well as being able to handle projects independently with minimal supervision if required
  • Good knowledge in 3D designing software preferred
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, Power point and email proficient

Other Information
  • Mon - Fri: 8:45am – 6:00pm
  • Transport provided at Yew Tee MRT station to workplace, to and fro
  • Taxi claims reimbursable after 8:30pm when working overtime
