Description:
Primary responsibilities are design of application platforms for Automotive ICs (AM/FM/digital radio receivers, and audio processors), support of design, systems and test engineering in IC verification and support of customers in all phases of the design-in process. Team members will apply knowledge of laboratory equipment and test procedures for RF circuits and knowledge of the PCB product development process.
Essential Functions:
· - Designs evaluation platforms and reference applications for RF tuner and demodulator products. These include analog and digital circuits, schematic entry, layout, debug and verification.
· - Supports configuring RF tuner and demodulation products to meet customer specifications.
· - Evaluates competing solutions.
· - Supports design, systems and test engineering in IC verification.
· - Supports field applications, sales, and customers directly in all phases of the IC design-in process.
· - Documents and reports on verification results through reviews and resolves action items generated as a result of these reviews.
· - Develops IC and evaluation system verification algorithms, procedures and automated tests.
· - Develops internal and customer documentation.
· - Develops and delivers internal and customer training materials and demonstrations.
· - Attends design reviews to provide input and learn from other engineers’ experiences.
· - Supports marketing in product definition.
· - Supports product engineering to meet manufacturing/production needs.
· - Supports design engineering to meet IC design requirements.
· - Supports failure analysis to meet customer requirements.
Qualifications:
Experience and Education: BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or Electrical and Computer Engineering.

• Technical communication skills in verbal, written, & presentation formats
• Strong desire to learn new technical areas

• Communications and/or DSP background a plus
• Audio measurement background a plus
• Software and/or embedded firmware programming skills (C++, C#, TCL and/or LabView desired)
• Schematic capture and layout skills
