Job Description
We are looking for an experienced developer to ensure that ShopBack’s website is fast and efficient. As a frontend engineer, you will work with a team of engineers in a fast paced and demanding environment where you take full ownership of your work. You live on the front lines of our products and build features used by thousands of people every day. You will also be encouraged to improve on our front-end architecture and explore new technologies to enhance the user experience.
More than just a cupboard cut-out, we want someone who is able to fit in with our fun-loving start-up culture, coupled with the drive in their role.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Writing and reviewing application code
Documenting and testing the systems you help build
Suggest and implement user experience improvements
Coordinating with engineering leadership to define and prioritise engineering projects
Working with support to triage and debug technical support requests
QUALIFICATIONS
Comfortable working in PHP
Familiarity with all aspects of MVC web applications
Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Familiarity with VCS workflows and processes
Solid knowledge of testing principles
Strong relational database knowledge
Client-side performance and optimization
Attention to detail and demonstrable design and UX sensibilities
Strong CS fundamentals
