Job Description
Shopback.com is looking for interns interested in web development to join us! Successful candidates will work with talented Senior Developers and the CTO in achieving the following:
- Optimise the website for usability and responsive design across all hardware (e.g. mobile, tablet, PC) and major browsers (IE7/8, Chrome, Firefox)
- Building and managing the code for analytics frameworks to help track the success and performance of the website, mainly Google Analytics and other analytics software
- Handle development operations - including user testing, code walkthroughs, debugging, and building a user-friendly admin interface
- Maintain a strong and robust database server, that will help to streamline data management, using the latest cutting-edge technologies and frameworks
We don't ask for much from you, so long you are hardworking, you learn fast, and you can adapt to changing business environments quickly. The other requirements are as follows:
- Background and/or interest in coding, programming, computer science, information systems etc. If you have coded your own projects, do show us!
- Proficient in the primary languages of PHP, Java, CSS, HTML5, and connecting features in PHP to a storage layer, e.g. mySQL and Memcached
- Deep understanding and knowledge of responsive design and cross-browser optimisation
- Able to develop a reusable library of front-end components for the whole team's usage
- It would be a plus if you have some knowledge of frameworks such as CodeIgniter and version control, e.g. GitHub
