EXPERIENCE.
SOM is a musical playground for young music enthusiasts to experience and explore different genres of music. We are the first school of music in Singapore to provide Hip Hop, Rock and Classical education by a team of well-known professionals and respected trainers. Led by Singapore’s ‘Godfather’ of Hip Hop, Sheikh Haikel, SOM is pioneering in its efforts to create a dynamic and soulful syllabus. You can either learn for leisure or work towards certifications from ROCKSCHOOL, UK and ABRSM. Our team at SOM will be constantly pushing new frontiers in the education of Music.
PERFORM.
We believe that the youths of today are ready to let their talents shine! Many students have been training but have no opportunity to perform. SOM is a one-stop creative hub where students get a chance to perform at our SOM Studio and all around Singapore with the professionals in the Music Industry.
RECORD.
Students get to write their own songs and record at the SOM Music Recording Studio. They will have a community of talents to work with from the different faculties and be mentored by the professionals available at SOM!
The Branch Coordinator is the first point of contact for students, faculty, parents and community entering the music school facility. The Branch Coordinator is responsible for providing quality customer service and facilitating the business needs of School Of Music. The position also serves as a support to the Front Desk executive in the area of database management and reporting.
Reporting Relationships:
Reports to: Directors and HR Management
Work Schedule: Mondays, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays: 10am to 6pm
Works Closely With: Music School Directors, Human Resource Management Team, Teachers, Front Desk Executives.
Essential Functions:
Provide quality customer service.
Music School receptionist – transfer calls / take messages/answer questions/return calls
Relay student cancellations/absences messages to faculty
Enter contact data into Music School database (address, phones, emails)
Schedule new students
Check-in desk for teachers
Accept payments
Assist with fees collection
General management of room scheduling and recording studio bookings
Oversee facilities (keys to rooms)
Document piano tuning needs and other equipment/room issues
Perform opening & closing duties for facility
Provide support for faculty (make copies of administrative documents, distribute mail, etc.)
Manage faculty attendance binders for facility (and home teachers)
Coordinate student performance hours and programs.
Process student attendance.
Other Responsibilities:
Maintain professional music school environment
Other responsibilities, projects or duties at the direction of the Directors.
Essential Qualifications Profile:
Extremely Dependable
Proficient in computer skills, fluency in Microsoft Word and Excel
Detail oriented. Efficient and accurate data entry skills
Excellent organizational skills
Professional and engaging interpersonal skills
Professional telephone manner
Demonstrated problem solving skills
Knowledge of music/music education
- Ability to assimilate new activities/information quickly in a fast paced environment
- Diploma/ Degree level
