Job duties include: Brainstorming for unique event concepts, Project timeline planning, Proposal writing, Sourcing for third-party services required for an event, Obtaining preliminary costings for third-party services, Drawing up preliminary event budget, Design management
3. Third-Party LiaisonExperience an event management company’s important role of pulling together different resources from third-parties to stage a successful event.Tasks include: Price negotiation, Coordinating and finalising all event-related arrangements with third-party suppliers/vendors
4. Client ServicingUnderstand and experience the company’s primary role of working with the client to make the event a successful one. Learn to communicate with clients in an appropriate way that is acceptable in most, if not, all corporate environment. Tasks include: Attending to the client and the event needs in an organised manner, Attending work-in-progress meetings with clients, Providing regular updates on the various aspects of the event
5.Onsite Event ManagementUnderstand and experience how an event is executed and managed on the event day itself. Learn about the processes involved in the transition from planning to operations. Job duties include: Drafting minute-by-minute programme for use during event day, Pre-empting problems that may arise onsite and put in place pre-emptive measures, Running a particular or a few aspects of the event on the actual day, Onsite troubleshooting and crisis management
