Scope of work includes: - Understand and identify the business challenges/ requirements of the IT professional - Learn and acquire knowledge on IT products and solutions currently avaibable in the market to address these challenges/ requirements - Understand how commercial IT products are being introduced to customer companies through marketing programs - Understand how such companies can be effectively reached through direct marketing channels - Marketing Research and Management - Research on customer companies and other acquired contacts - Business Development: Contact Management and Target Account Profiling through phone and e-mail - Follow-up and tracking of leads - Liaise with sales representatives of clients Skills and knowledge expected from student: - Application of knowledge to real-world marketing and business development services. - Use of internet for research - Use of MS Applications especially Excel and Outlook - Good communications skills and enjoys interacting with people especially through the phone We especially welcome: * IT students who are business or entrepreneurially savvy * Business management/ marketing students who desire to carve a niche in the IT industry
