Our boutique PR firm offers dynamic, real-life experience and
skills that will help them succeed in their communications careers.
At Publicist PR, our interns will enjoy hands-on experience working on a wide range of projects in a variety of different
industries, including healthcare, F&B, fashion and lifestyle brands. The projects are selected to ensure that the intern is
able to experience and appreciate the different facets of public
relations work. As part of a structured program, they will learn and
undertake the basic responsibilities of a junior-level staffer, such as
building media lists, media monitoring, performing research, writing
media materials, and developing internal communication material. Interns will also have the opportunity to work on special projects, event
coordination and media pitches. Interns are encouraged to follow through
on as many stages of a project as is feasible so that they can feel a
sense of ownership and achievement over their work.
Through hands-on experience with client projects, Publicist PR interns learn a variety of skills, such as drafting press materials, building media lists, brainstorming and researching ideas, pitching media, event planning and logistics, and may have the opportunity to staff events. Our interns work with designated account teams and typically report to an account team supervisor. Internship applicants should have:
- A basic understanding of public relations, its purposes and tools
- A positive, can-do attitude
- Solid writing skills
- Attention to detail
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
