Job Description
THE ROLE
We are looking for a committed, organized, and passionate individual to join us as a Junior Designer, who is passionate about crafting beautifully clever designs with meticulous attention to detail.
The well-rounded designer will be responsible for designing materials for print, web, video and other collaterals according to the requirements of each project. In addition, the designer will be involved in the conceptualization process and design production of social media related visuals in a team with diverse experiences and background.
See below some of the expected responsibilities:
· Conceptualization and creation of visual graphics and assisting collaterals based on a theme/design brief that will be provided for the upcoming monthly hackathons, innovation events, and collaborative workshops
· Maintain the company's branding guidelines, design file organization, design file documentation, social media, website upkeep, EDM templates, and other creative marketing material.
· Flexibly work under an agency-type of environment, dealing with incoming client work (i.e. projects come in many different forms)
· Create and develop a visual response to communication problems, including understanding of hierarchy and grid structure, negative space, typography, aesthetics, user-centric design, composition and construction of meaningful imagery and photography
· Communicate clearly and effectively in interdisciplinary team meetings and work closely with internal and external clients, project managers, community and content managers, etc. within the organization.
· Connect and collaborate with the design and tech community in Singapore to support the company's open innovation activities as well as to contribute and help out with events within the company.
· Design and manage print related tasks that adheres to pre-press print production standards (i.e. producing company related stationery, pull-up banners, large format prints etc.)
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
· Proficiency in the Adobe Creative suite of tools including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign will be expected.
· Huge plus for knowledge/experience on Print Production, Photography, After Effects, HTML & CSS, or using InVision
· Good understanding of current design and web trends.
· Can juggle multiple tasks under a tight deadline.
· Has a keen eye for typography, hierarchy, negative space, color theory and layout
· Communicates ideas clearly and has a reasoning for everything. (many times, the designer is asked to back up and explain their work)
· Very detail oriented.
· Absolutely fantastic work ethic.
· 1-2 years of working experience in a related field will be ideal, but skilled fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
