Publicist PR is a boutique public relations firm based in Singapore with strong expertise in brand management, deep-rooted relationships with the media and well-connected with synergistic marketing partners. We build engagement with key consumers and work towards creating strong and credible brand stories through news interviews, feature stories, product placement and fashion spreads in dailies, print publications, on websites, and in other forms of media. Each news article and placement tells a story and constitute to the overall brand building effort. This helps increase consumer confidence, thus increasing brand value.

We provide strong, strategic PR strategies, coupled with good messaging, tailored to the needs of each client and work closely with the media to develop a compelling brand story directed at both consumers as well as businesses.

We are looking for diploma holders and university graduates to fill a Public Relations Assistant internship. The person selected will work on public relations projects for Publicist PR Communications aimed at increasing the visibility and reach of the agency's program offerings.

Total number of hours to be worked will be between 15 - 40 hours per week (combination of in office hours and outside research/project work). This position is likely to lead to a full time role for the ideal candidate with good performance.

Position responsibilities will include:

- Creating and developing press releases for distribution to both print and online publications

- Writing articles to appear in media publications, website, social media outlets, etc. that feature interesting and relevant material for clients

Coordinate initiatives for the clients to increase the visibility and presence in Singapore and Asian markets

- Increase online visibility and presence of our clients

- Increase the visibility and presence of various PR projects

- Assist in the creation of innovative new and existing outreach materials (newsletters, handbooks, web and blog updates, etc.)

- Aiding in keeping our web ads accurate and up to date including promotions on our own site

- Other duties as assigned

The successful applicant will demonstrate the following qualities:

- An educational background in public relations or related field

- An interest in and respect for the mission of mass media

- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, web browsers, webmail, Twitter, Facebook

- Detail-oriented

- Self-starter who is active in contributing ideas and feedback

- The ability to work independently given office policies and guidelines

- Have excellent written and oral communication skills

- Integrity, punctuality and dependability

- Sense of humor
