Padang & Co – Communications Intern

Padang & Co is the Open Innovation company.  We bring together talented members of our diverse community and organisations from the public, private and people sectors to consider challenges, collaborate on ideas and co-create new solutions.  In the past three years, we have organised over 10 online challenges, 30 hackathons and many more workshops.

As a Community Intern, you will:

•     Engage with existing communities and databases to help draw more people to participant in our competitions or events

•     Research and identify new, relevant communities and engage with them to publicise our competitions or events

•     Assist to build communities via Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and other social media networks and email campaigns

•     Assist to keep all communication touch-points updated, e.g. website, social media, blogs, etc.

Our ideal Community Intern:

•     Has excellent creative writing, grammatical and proofreading skills

•     Is a team player, who enjoys multi-tasking and the energy of a start-up

•     Is organised, detail-oriented and able work independently

•     Is proficient in Microsoft Office applications

•     Has some copywriting experience

•     Experience running social media campaigns, writing your own blog, etc, is a plus, and is operating knowledge of applications or platforms like MailChimp, EventBrite, Adobe Illustrator, etc.
