Mongoose Publishing Singapore seeking Special Projects Intern.
Mongoose Publishing specializes in providing high quality consumer publications such as Time Out Singapore and Esquire Singapore. Mongoose Publishing is looking for an Intern to work in the Special Projects department, which produces creative content solutions for clients. The candidate should have a keen interest in both commercial and editorial aspects of publishing, and will be chiefly responsible for creating content for a high-profile client lifestyle portal that provides recommendations for local events, attractions and trends.
Job Description
Scope of work:
- Writing for a big-name lifestyle portal (more details to be shared upon discussion)
- Editing
- Research
- Proofreading
- Attending events and sourcing for influencer quotes
- Other editorial duties (No coffee-pouring here!)
The ideal candidate:
- You are highly versatile and resourceful as a writer, with the ability to deliver quality work under time pressures.
- You should be Singaporean and show an in-depth knowledge of local happenings, attractions and trends.
- You should be able to keep track of multiple on-going projects, be extremely well-organised, and show a keen respect for deadlines.
- You should be able to adapt quickly to specified house styles and tone of voice.
- You should be willing to learn and be open to working on a large variety of projects. You might be tasked to create content for other clients as well on an ad-hoc basis.
- You should have a fantastic attitude and a passion for print and digital media.
Requirements:
Candidate must demonstrate very strong spoken and written English.
