XM Technology Consulting is responsible for the technology backbone behind the high-impact business transformation projects that we deliver for our clients. The team provides innovative marketing technology solutions from design, implementation to integration across a rigorous development lifecycle that includes user experience, requirements, functional specifications, technical architecture, testing and deployment.
The Intern Digital Designer works with the CD, AD, SD (and other team members) to design and execute specific projects. He/she produces designs that effectively meet both the objectives of the client and the needs of the end users. He or she helps the Art Director design and produce layouts, storyboards, mock-ups, visuals and templates.
Responsibilities:
· Working with the Creative Director, Art Directors, Senior and Interactive Designers and HTML Programmers to produce effective design, identify problems and propose Solutions
· Following guidelines established for the creative department by the agency and/or the clients
· Maintaining high standards of quality
Deliverables/Key/Result Areas:
· Improve skills in digital imaging software (PhotoShop, Fireworks), interactive software (Flash, be able to problem solve with these tools
· Develop understanding of a broad range of design issues – specifically user interface, layout, typography, illustration, photography, interactivity, animation and sound
· Develop and understand issues relating to image and sound optimization.
· Create a personal action plan to keep improving in design and problem solving skills
· Develop personal management skills – setting goals, developing plans to achieve them and achieving them
· Offering initiatives and added-value ideas
Qualifications/Skills:· Diploma level (or equivalent) in Graphic/Multimedia Design or visual Communications
· Good understanding of digital technologies and responsive design for different devices.
· Some experience in digital imaging software (PhotoShop, Illustrator), interactive software (Flash), layout tools. Basic understanding of usability principles
· Personal & time management skills
· The ability to work as part of a team and able to work independently
· Good eye for detail
· Willing to learn
· Evidence of related industry experience.
· At least 1 years hands-on experience in a commercial creative studio or evidence of work from a related degree or qualification
· 1-2 years hands on experience conceptualizing, developing and producing multimedia, interactive or print based creative work
· 1 to 2 years in an interactive or design based studio environment
· Experience in creating websites
· Experience creating multimedia presentations (Flash, PowerPoint etc.)
