Bima is a Stockholm-based "profit with purpose" enterprise, that specialises in micro-insurance services offered over mobile phones in emerging markets. In the last 2 years, we have rolled out our products in 6 markets across Africa and Asia, and now insure more than 2,000,000 lives previously underserved by traditional insurance companies and banks. We are now looking for an intern in Singapore to help with business development efforts in Asia. The intern will be exposed to real-world business issues from Day One. The intern will be involved in all activities from sourcing and prospecting leads, conducting market research, assisting in client pitches, contributing to product design and conceptualisation, and assisting in PR and HR/admin activities. The intern will also get the opportunity to join in regional travel for business development trips.
Anyone with an interest in socially meaningful entrepreneurship and willing to work in challenging emerging markets should apply. You should be self-motivated, energetic and resourceful. You should also be proficient in MS Office applications, including Excel, Powerpoint and Word.
