La Barca Italian Restaurant is located at Goodman Arts House in the tranquil area of Tanjong Katong.

Hidden away in Katong, La Barca Ristorante & Wine Bar is a stunning restaurant set within the grounds of the Goodman Arts Centre. 

Helmed by Chef Michele Sorrentino from Italy, La Barca serves classic Tuscan fare with a modern twist, with an emphasis on fresh flavours and stylish presentation. Signature dishes include Il Baccala Mantecato Alla Veneta Con Cips Di Patatine Croccanti (Whipped Salted Cod with Extra Virgin Olive Oils, Served with Potato Crisps) and I Tortelli Di Pecorino Con Fonduta Di Parmigiano Gratinati Al Tartufo (Fresh Handmade Pecorino-filled Tortelli with Parmesan Cream and Seasonal Truffles). The restaurant’s Fiorentine steak offerings are also hugely popular.

Elegant, understated, and reminiscent of Milanese chic, the space is perfect for every occasion – from quiet romantic dinners to corporate events and cocktail parties. The family friendly restaurant also boasts a kids’ playroom and a welcoming outdoor wooden deck, making it a popular choice for children’s parties.

La Barca, which means ‘The Boat’ in Italian, was so named for the shape of the site it is on.

La Barca was named ‘Best New Restaurant, Western’ in The Peak’s prestigious G Restaurant Awards 2012, and was recognized with an Award of Excellence in 2013 and 2014. In 2012, La Barca was one of only eight restaurants in Singapore to receive the Ospitalita Italiana Seal - a testament to the authenticity and quality of its products and services; the restaurant was honoured with the award again in 2013.
