Company Profile

LDR is a leading player in Singapore in the design, development and operation of mobile interactive learning trails. In 2010, LDR won a Call-for-Collaboration project initiated by Info-communications Development Authority of Singapore (IDA) to develop a software-based tool, called Learning-On-The-Move (LOTM) Tool, to help teachers create mobile learning trails in order to enhance learning beyond the classroom. LDR had also won a contract to support the development of 12 curriculum-based mobile learning trails for the Ministry of Education. The LOTM Tool integrates location-based technology such as GPS, Blue Tooth and Image Recognition with a rapid authoring tool and social media apps such as Facebook and Skype to create digital trails that enable self-directed and collaborative learning activities. LDR’s learning trails can be used to support National Education, Community Bonding, Leadership Development and Teamwork, Navigation Skills Training as well as Field Trips covering subjects such as history, culture, geography and natural heritage.  The technology can also be adapted to support the learning needs of any organisation’s mobile workforce.  LDR’s innovative learning solution has caught the attention of the media on several occasions in this year alone, as it was able to drive a confluence of learning pedagogies such as self-directed, collaborative, experiential, problem-based, inquiry-based and place-based learning concepts through the use of location-based mobile technologies for both Android and iOS platforms Its authoring platform can also be used to rapidly convert and deploy any organisation’s existing or future eLearning courseware content to M-Learning Content running on any mobile devices.
