Responsibilities:

  • To ensure that projects assigned to the company by the Company’s clients are delivered to the clients within the timescales, to the quality expected and within the Company’s profitability margins.
  • Working with the Vendor Manager, ensure each of their projects are resourced effectively taking into account the best available resources and the costs of the resources.
  • Select, instruct and manage internal and external resources in order to ensure the right resources are used and that they perform according to the project instructions, client expectations and the company''s QA procedures.
  • Monitor responsibilities in a given project (localization plan, post mortems, resources, submissions, etc.)
  • Implement and maintain project scheduling and resource allocation together with Language Lead (when applicable) and Localization Manager.
  • Continuously manage and adapt the work plan and resources required in consultation and agreement with the client.
  • Make independent decisions on work methods to be used in the localization groups, while following established standards and procedures of the department.
  • Ensure that the project is delivered within the financial requirements of the Business Unit.
  • Ensure projects meet industry leading quality standards.
  • Ensure project data in the company''s information reports is accurate, updated and complete.
  • Prepares essential data for job invoicing.
  • Conduct project presentations and compile daily, weekly and monthly and ad hoc reports as appropriate.
  • Escalate any material issues that arise on a project to the Localization Manager and agree how to manage and communicate these with the client.
  • Participate in regular internal meetings.


As part of our selection procedure, shortlisted candidates will be required to attend an interview.

Qualifications

Skills required:

  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills in English and Chinese (to communicate with Chinese clients).
  • Experience in localization and / or video games industry is preferred.
  • Outstanding attention to detail.
  • Must be motivated and a team player.
  • Reliable and punctual.
  • The ability to write accurate, unambiguous and concise documentation in the relevant language.
  • Excellent knowledge of PC and MS Office products is essential.
  • Previous experience of localization as a QA Tester in a software testing environment desirable.
  • Basic understanding of the development cycle and constraints.
  • Flexible towards responsibilities and working hours.
  • Ability to cope under pressure and to work to tight deadlines.
