Indigo Artisans is a Singapore-based agency representing makeup artists and hairstylists. Our artists work on fashion and beauty editorial photoshoots, print and video commercials, film and television, events and on special occasion assignments.
Clients include Style Magazine, Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, Style Men, Singapore Brides, Marina Bay Sands, TOD’S, Club Monaco, Zalora, Giuseppe Zanotti, along with celebrities, personalities, stylists, production houses and event management companies.
We are constantly on the lookout for talent with a keen eye for beauty, commitment, and passion. Along with our experienced artists and partners, we are scouting for new makeup artists and hairstylists with potential to grow with our team.
You will be assisting the artist and manager on assignments, daily preparations and planning. This is an amazing opportunity for hands-on industry experience that will be valuable for your portfolio.

Your primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Being on assignment (photoshoots / events/ filming) with the key makeup artist/ hairstylist
Ensuring a standard of cleanliness and organisation at the styling table
Being alert and attentive on set for touch-ups
Following guidelines for individual makeup and hairstyling direction and application
Pre and post assignment maintenance and organisation of makeup and hair products and tools
Participation in training sessions and briefings
Learning new skills and techniques through observation of key artist
Arriving to work on time or earlier
Personal assistance to key artists and manager
Any other tasks assigned by the manager or key artist
Qualifications, skills and personal attributes required:
Exudes maturity, professional behavior and is reliable at all times
Fluent in spoken and written English. Fluency in multiple languages a bonus
Exercise discretion on shoots (i.e. no unauthorised photos, no inappropriate behaviour, or disclosure of confidential/embargoed information)
Good knowledge and ability in makeup application and/or hairstyling
Have your own professional kit
No prior experience in working as a makeup artist and/or hairstylist required, but is a bonus
Able to work under pressure with no drama or airs
Able to commit for 3 to 5 months starting from September or October, 2014
Able to work with a flexible schedule that may include weekends
Singaporean or PR
