Job Description

The Job

A.   Upgrade the GUI within the door access control program. This project comprise of 2 milestones:

1.   Create a complete end-user GUI process by making the following modifications:

1.1    [Enter Button] Combine two pre-existing GUI processes into one continuous GUI process from Door Selection to Password to Door Auto-Unlock & Auto-Relock.

1.2    [Exit Button] Replicate the code in (a) and make minor modifications.

1.3    Create a vanilla test program that saved dummy data periodically into pre-selected files.

2.      Enhance GUI by substituting static widgets with ready-to-use interactive widgets. This mean:

2.1    From Static Tables to Interactive Tables (e.g. built-in sort features).

2.2    From Static Lists to Interactive Lists.

2.3.   From Static Toolbar to Flexible Menu which encapsulate (a) and (b).

B.     The programmer will be required to deliver complete and error-free code to ensure on-time delivery.

C.     The successful candidate will be provided with following hardware/software: (a) Pre-existing Program, (b) API Manuals, and (c) Door Locks/Sensors. He/she will work full-time at home.


The Requirements

A.     Pursuing Computing/Engineering degree (Completed at least 4 computing modules), or Passed computing course at ‘A’ level or at Diploma level.

B.     The upgrading of the program require JavaScript knowledge. Proven practical experience and/or academic excellence in JavaScript and NodeJS are plus points.

C.     Proven ability to code and debug independently.

D.     The applicants are expected to be Singapore citizens or Singapore residents with approved visas. (Students who live in rented rooms with 3 or more persons need not apply).


Note (1):  The project fee will paid "by completed milestones" (50% + 50%) rather than "by time spent".

Note (2):  The expected duration of the project is 30 days. The project can be extended by another 30 days upon request. Full-time work during school vacation is required. Part-time work during school term is acceptable.
