HungryGoWhere is an editorial, user review, recipe and restaurant reservations portal. It is the largest and most widely-read food portal in Singapore that covers restaurants, bars, and hawker stalls. It started out with user reviews, but has built up its editorial portfolio with stories like 52 Best Buffets,rainbow cakes taste test, 5 best nasi padang restaurants, and extensive Gordon Ramsay coverage (including live social media updates), among others. It has one of the largest followings among food portals on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. HungryGoWhere's editorial section is led by Celine Asril.
Job Description
This is a junior writing position. Good writing skills and the willingness to work hard is a must. The job is 9am to 6pm every weekday, with opportunities to attend tastings, events and do anonymous reviews during and outside of work hours.
Other requirements:
- Must be adventurous about food & drink.
- Must be Hungry on command (to keep everyone's waistlines intact - you're the sacrificial lamb).
- Must have good stamina for running all over the city (if you can eat while you run, even better).
- Divas need not apply, but those with allergies can lah (you poor thing, you. Peanuts aren't all that great, and they aren't really nuts, if that helps) - just remember to let us know what the trigger is.
- Must have good etiquette (on and offline - good social media etiquette ranks high up there).
- Must be detail oriented, and able to think ahead (we do think about our next meal while eating our present meal, and you should too).
- Don't have to make us coffee, but you might have to for a story.
