Engineering Interns

HWG looking for interns to be involved in various R&D and commercial projects. Many of our projects involve building of machines that are heavy on mechanical and electronic integration. Applicant should also have passion to solve engineering challenges with little or no reference because many of our projects are of very unique applications. The ideal applicants should have proficiency in one or more field in mechanical, electronic, mechatronic, aerospace, biomechanics or robotic.

Mechanical Intern

The ideal applicants should have proficiency in design and fabricate machines for various applications like robotics, vehicular, automation and etc. Good understanding of usage of mechanical components and engineering materials to apply to the mechanical part of the project. Able to design and build strong structures for project that require to withstand heavy stresses or to work in hash environments. Able to work with other engineers to integrate electronics and other non-mechanical components.

Requirements:

•Currently pursuing a diploma/degree in mechanical or mechatronics engineering,

•Proficiency in one or more following field: Mechanical actuation, robotic, pneumatic, electric motors, aerospace, product design, energy systems.

•Strong mechanical mathematics that deal with mechanical and material stresses.

•Knowledge of application of mechanical components.

•Design and fabrication of structures, frames, chassis or covers for various projects.

•Design and fabrication mechanical system of the project.

•Able to work with electrical and electronic engineers to integrate electronic components to the mechanical design.

•Passion for problem solving with little or no reference because of unique applications of the project.

•Due to unique application of the project. Applicant may need to learn skills that are ooutside the scope of study. Independently or guided.

•Must be able to work full-time during the internship period.

Compensation:

•Compensation will include allowance depending on experience ($500-1000)
