Interns are treated as professional staff and play a key role on client partner service teams. They typically focus on multiple areas of GEE Global's diverse client partner service groups while also contributing to a wide range of project work in specialty areas.
To be successful in this position, interns should be ready to take on an entrepreneurial role in a high-energy environment, with a willingness to commit to simply getting the job done right.
Main Responsibilities
Working with project directors and other team members to:
- Provide creative conceptualization and graphic design support on assigned account(s), and to all areas of the firm as needed to deliver flawless, production-ready artwork or assets for print ads, collateral pieces, product packaging, web pages, banner ads, social media, web applications, to mention a few examples;
- Interpret design rationale and creative vision, and apply knowledge of file preparation requirements, to produce work that meets all specifications and standards for quality and accuracy;
- Demonstrate skill in typography and basic design with the ability to create complex marketing pieces from the ground up, in addition to translating established designs into various advertising elements and versions;
- Act as creative/production integrator and liaison - translating creative vision to production when appropriate;
- Manage multiple projects and priorities and proactively communicate relevant project information/status to appropriate staff, and resolve conflicts through constructive interaction with team members.
Requirements
- Proficiency with a PC/Mac, PowerPoint, Keynote, MS Office Suite, and Adobe CS Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat and Photoshop);
- Familiarity with social networking sites;
- Photography skills appreciated;
- Creative and flexible.
