Exampl is a peer to peer maths-help platform on the mobile. It's a community for secondary, JC and university students to help each other when they are stuck while solving maths problems. We have plans for aggressive growth including in several Asian countries over the next few months, and thus need to augment our support team.
Mission: Promote the concept of "learning by example". Human beings learn from each other and hence why not mathematics? Exampl is to enable easy and quick learning and thus improve their confidence to face new challenges.
(A) Job responsibilities
- You'll be providing help on maths questions to secondary and junior college students, using Exampl and its features.
- You will be working from home most of the time, only coming in to office as required.
- You will be asked to spend at least 2 hours on Exampl daily. As students seeking help could be from different time zones, you might be expected to work during different timings.
(B) Job requirements
- You need to be good at mathematics at least up to JC level. Consistent A grades in the subject would be desired. You would be tested on your knowledge and ability to solve the problems quickly.
- You need to be comfortable with using smartphones and use its features. Of course, you need to have your own smartphone with a good data plan or wifi.
- If you would know Malay language, it could help, although not knowing Malay is not a disadvantage.
Retired secondary and junior college teachers are more than welcome to apply, as well as university students who are currently enrolled in distance-learning courses (as time availability needs to be flexible).
