The name ‘eVida’ comprises of an ‘e’ and a ‘Vida’. ‘e’ refers to automation (e.g. email, e-commerce etc), while “Vida” means ‘life’ in Spanish. Hence, the name “eVida” depicts a smooth fusion between technology and life which we seek to deliver as part of our Smart Home Care solutions.
What exactly do we provide? Like a technology architect, eVida designs personalized smart home solutions through the conscientious deployment of smart controllers, sensors and devices, coupled with customised smart logic programming to provide the home owner with unrivalled convenience and protection.
In addition, we develop and build unique patient care solutions for healthcare applications. These two specializations lead to the formation of eVida SmartHome and eVida Healthcare.
Job Description
Challenge your abilities, charge your imagination. Your experience working in eVida is very different from working in a government statutory board, an established firm, and anywhere else where you are labelled as a staff.
Given an end result as the goal, you are responsible for creating milestones, be your own mentor to overcome technical challenges, create new ideas and lead any member in your team. Your responsibility is not to turn up for work from 8 to 5pm, but to grow a company that you have a stake into one great success.
Here are some suggested responsibilities for your role (notice it is not a "job"):
- Brainstorm, plan and execute a healthcare monitoring project based on Android.
- Work independently as there is no one else to seek help from.
- You represent the expert in your domain.
- Take pride in your work and words. Honour product quality and timelines.
- Uphold mutual respect to other colleagues. Although they might not be as good as you in Android programming, but his/her consideration could be coming from another aspect of the commercial feasibility. The way to reject a suggestion could be explaining why it does not work or it is technically not feasible.
- Take initiative to propose ideas, meetings and report progress to other colleagues.
