Company Profile

ELEMENT is described by The Wall Street Journal as Asia’s first gay men’s high-fashion and lifestyle journal. It is the essential one-stop read covering men’s fashion, entertainment, sex & relationship, fitness, community social issues etc. As compared to other Western-based similar magazine titles, ELEMENT is seen as a “dear friend” by Asian gay community for it features editorial contents that are much closely associated with their lives. In the region itself, ELEMENT also showed that its star pulling power is second to none.

Our A-list celebrity exclusives expand from West to East, with Lady GAGA embracing the cover of our Style Issue and top Mandopop diva A Mei giving her first-ever gay press exclusive cover shoot and interview in our Rainbow Issue. When our advertisers such as Calvin Klein, Paul Smith, Air France etc. wanted to speak directly to the Asian gay men in particular, they knew we’re the “one and only” premier platform in the region they look for because not only do we deliver great marketing results, but also match their brand status. Launched only in March, 2013, already ELEMENT has attracted the attention of both Western and Asian mainstream media such as The Wall Street Journal, Yahoo! BBC World News, The Huffington Post, ABC Network (Australia), NNA (Japan), China Daily, Neue Zuercher Zeitung (Switzerland).

The digitalization of the publishing world in recent years is growing phenomenally. Asian readers’ markets with high level of English edu- cation are generally more digital savvy such as Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Australia (with large Asian population), and the second rea- son, we reckoned that it’s because of the more conservative Asian culture, which has imposed a great impact on how the gay population here chooses to access information related to them. The answer is, the more secretive the better. ELEMENT is now selling an average of 25,000 copies per issue across all digital platforms. In Singapore alone, it is ranked No.2 amongst major men’s titles on Magzter.com, which is only behind Men’s Health and outnumbered other mainstream men’s titles such as August Man, Style Men alike.
