OVERVIEW
As a Technical Support Intern, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the Technical Consulting Team through close collaboration with Sales, Marketing and Service Delivery functions. You will also have opportunities to hone your skills by working on various assignments under the guidance of subject matter experts.
At the end of your internship, you would have gained broad exposure to various aspects of technical consulting and a sound understanding of the Content Delivery Network (CDN) industry
You should be a team player with a ‘can-do’ personality, embrace challenges, and possess strong problem solving skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Technical Support Intern will undergo an orientation sesion to learn about various functions of the company. We will also offer you on-the-job training in our technology and internal technical support processes.
Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
- Assist in providing technical support to customers in the establishment of services.
- Assist in facilitating incident responses and escalations to advanced support teams when necessary.
- Assist in ensuring technical issues faced by customers are resolved in a timely manner.
- Support the setting up of trials and conducting performance tests for prospective customers.
- Facilitate ongoing escalations of technical support requests or issues from existing customers.
- Assist in the preparation of technical presentations and demonstrations to current and prospective customers.
REQUIREMENTS
- Students majoring in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Cyber Security or an equivalent technical discipline.
- Basic understanding of Linux operating systems is required.
- Knowledge in networking fundamentals like TCP/IP, computer applications, security and web technologies is a plus.
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Possess strong organisational skills, a keen desire to learn and ability to prioritise in a challenging, fast-paced environment.
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
