Castlery – Marketing/Business Development Intern

Castlery is an online furniture mall based in Singapore.

Our mission? To produce premium-quality, designer furniture at a competitive price point, with no middlemen markup and no compromise on build quality or design aesthetics. 

Our catalog sports a growing collection of furniture, arts and homeware for the sophisticated homeowner. Thanks to our lean business model which cuts out the middlemen and brings bespoke furniture from the makers directly to the consumers, we shave off up to 70% from the typical retail price of our products.

Two options exist in the furniture market - quality design at an expensive price, or cheap, low-quality furniture. Our mission is to provide consumers with a third option: quality furniture with good design aesthetics at a competitive price point, so that good design can finally be appreciated by and affordable to everyone.

As our Marketing/Business Development Intern, your work will be crucial to realising our mission. You will be directly involved in our traditional marketing efforts, forge new business relationships with industry players and handle customers as well as the press.

Core Responsibilities:
Conceptualise and execute promotional events
Forge and maintain relationships with channel affiliates (interior design companies, property agents etc.)
Provide operational support for sales and marketing department Provide basic phone support for our customers

Candidate Requirements:
1) 2nd/3rd year student from a local University
2) Pursuing a degree in Business/Accounting/Finance/Marketing major or equivalent
3) Highly motivated and organized, strong team player4) Strong interpersonal & communication skills, able to handle customers confidently on the phone
5) Flexible to changing demands in the office and on the ground, able to multi-task and prioritise effectively

Essential Information:
Renumeration: SGD 600/month
Location: East of Singapore
